August James

August James Domanchuk born September 24, 1998 is an experienced lead guitar player and vocalist on the rise. He learned blues at a young age while attending The Fernando Jones Blues Kids camp at Columbia college in Chicago. Opportunities grew from there; playing for the mayor of Chicago to performing for the dignitaries at a luncheon during the Nato summit in 2012.

He was chosen to play at a ceremony for Buddy Guy's lifetime achievement award. August earned his way to the youth international blues challenge in Memphis two years in a row at the age of 16 and 17 taking the stage at iconic clubs such as BB King's Hard Rock Cafe on Beale Street. He's been able to play on stage at the Chicago Blues Fest a couple of times and has played at the Vans Warped tour in California, with The Chase Walker Band.

August has played alongside and has shared the stage with Eddie Shaw, Jackie Scott, Lindsey Alexander, The Ivas John Band, and Jamiah Rogers! August's high school band battled to get to the Illinois Springfield State Fair in 2014 and took the championship for the Illinois State Battle Of The Bands.

As an adult August went back to his roots to Columbia College for The Fernando Jones Chicago Blues Camp and helped lead an ensemble of musicians, taught the blues, and how to command the stage. Influences for August include Jimi Hendrix, Jamiah Rogers, Christone Kingfish, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Moore, John Mayer, Fernando Jones, Buddy Guy, Led Zeppelin, Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, and Les Paul.

August plays Blues, Rock, and Funk, and Soul and he's been playing at local events and bars in the suburbs of Chicago. August is diving deep into the world of music and is ready to make waves. August hopes to make a difference in the music industry with the ultimate goal of bringing like-minded musicians together in meaningful and momentous ways.
